Just reread yr msg and wonder if perhaps I misunderstood. Were you in fact asking for a discrete area on the Local Activism page?

Sure. Absolutely. You can put it on there yourself. That's what I'm trying to encourage people to do. My ideal is that 80% of content comes from members. I dream, but......

At the moment though, that part won't update the latest events panel. So, if you let me know you've done it, I'll add a latest events note manually.

I posted a message on the local events section but it doesn't seem to be flagged up on the main page as an announcement- i'm probably doing something wrong, as i have't read any instructions yet.

Happened to be on line and noticed your comment about the site reliability. NIng do annoying things like maintenance on a Sat AM (they're in California). I've had some recent issues with things being slow and pages not loading. Are these the things you mean? If there are problems, I can let them know and they usually do their best to resolve them.

Thanks for the feedback. Re your event, Ning semed to be having a little freak out yesterday and it wasn't letting me access a number of pages - normally they're quite good. Do have another try. If you still can't gfet it to work, sendf it to me and I'll be happy to post it on the site myself.
