It is easy for local elections to be dominated by national issues and views about national parties.
So Friends of the Earth is putting out this questionnaire to get your views and ideas about local climate and environmental issues - and we will take the results back to candidates and parties before the election, and to whoever forms the new administration.

Yes.
IMO, the record—on climate and the environment—of the local council majority Group over the last four years, needs more attention. And not least, the views and actions of current council leader need particular scrutiny.
And since Labour has been in control locally for all this century, their record over the long term. The local Labour Party's record can be measured by a several yardsticks. These could include ~
- 2004—the excellent cycling action plan
- 2008—the superbly produced Greenest Borough Strategy brochure (attached) and five years ago
- 2021—another action plan, full of promise: climate
- 2026—?
If Mr Trump is wrong about climate change being a Chinese hoax, then the council ought to be doing much more than mere public relations.
