Recommendations wanted for mortgage broker & estate agents

Hi

I am hoping to move and could really appreciate from help/advice from anyone who has been through the process recently.

I wondered if anyone knows of a good broker that they would recommend for a new mortgage?

Also estate agents....has anyone used one recently to sell their property. There are so many of them it's hard to know who to go with. Some of them seem to talk a good game but I am not so sure how reliable they are. I would really like to hear from anyone with recent experience of local (north London) agents to hear what you think.

Hope you can help as I am currently feeling quite overwhelmed!

I would speak to Tembo re brokers they have been great and I’ve had nothing but great communication from Cousins estate agents when buying a flat so try them for selling your place. Good luck!

Hi KP,

We sold our old family home in Finsbury Park in January 2024. We used David Astburys in Crouch End as our estate agents and I can highly recommend them. Very proactive but not at all pushy and an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process. A really nice company with a solid reputation and good ethics.

Thank you for your reply. It's good to hear you had a positive experience with the estate agents and that they have good ethics. I am really not sure with some of the agents I have spoken to
