Martin........just spotted a comment of yours recalling a mate whose parents (think it was ?) ran the Hope and Anchor. What years are you referring to ?
Friends of my parents also ran that pub and the lady whose name I cannot recall was a real beauty. I fell in love with her though she didn't know it, I don't think !
Lived in Tottenham Lane, Hornsey from 1947 till 1959. Train spotted at Hornsey station where the engine turntable was a particular fascination. Enjoyed getting immersed in smoke on the bridge as the steam train passed underneath! How times have changed. Saturday morning pictures at The Ritz, Turnpike Lane with my hero, Captain Marvel. Sixpence.

This would've been late fifties - late 60's.
