Yes, the Arena was where the shopping arena is now; the Stadium stood where Sainsbury's and their car park now is.
As well as being the UK's top boxing stadium, it was home to part of the 1948 Olympics, the Horse of the Year Show for its first ten years, and to post-war classical music festivals It was also where Alicia Markova made her debut in the West.
