Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

1920s Green Lanes Harringay - Reel 2

Picks up at the Salisbury and I think takes in short pans along the length of Grand Parade.

As dirty and busy as it is now I see!

Great to see the Salisbury, that saviour of the community in shot.

That's fantastic - where did you find this?

It is great isn't it. It was in a film archive. If you're interested in the exact archive I can see if I can dig out the name.

It's not just movies from the nineteen twenties which can be fascinating treasures. And people can join in the treasure hunt!

In someone's spare bedroom, cellar or attic, there will be 8 and 16 mm home movie reels - perhaps belonging to elderly relatives. Many are recoverable and could be valuable source material for local history.

My cousin, Colin Clark and his wife run the Salisbury for a short time back in the 60's.
