Harringay's London Music Festival in 1947 included the hugely popular debut of Pierino Gamba. 10,000 people watched this ten year old boy conduct the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra playing Beethoven and Dvorak. This You Tube Video shows Gamba conducting an orchestra in Paris in the same year as he came to Harringay.
