WWI Soldiers at Prince of Wales's Hospital, Tottenham

If, like me you hadn't realised that there used to be a hospital opposite Tottenham Green, this link will take you a view of the building today on Street View. It has of course now been converted to flats.

An exterior view of the hospital is available here

So Maureen, your husband was working at the fire station next door to my Auntie Min's house in the late 50s! Used to visit with my father, her great nephew, three or four times a year. She had the only aspidistra on a tall stand in a bay window that I ever saw!

Just noted they must have specialised in arms by judgement of that photo !  And I had an arm fixed there......twice in early 60's.

A fun fact about the Prince of Wales Hospital on Tottenham Green: during its conversion into apartments, it was used as the building site location for Ken Loach's 1991 film Riff-Raff, starring Robert Carlyle and Ricky Tomlinson.
