Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Three Compasses is on the right hand side of the road under the turret. Beyond that and jutting out further on to the pavement, no's 64-76 High Street (with the tram stooped outside) were knocked down when the school was rebuilt and expanded.

And now... actually in about 1963 I was driving my father's Vauxhall near this spot having had a beer in the Compasses when a drunk leapt at the car and opened the passenger side suicide door! I threw him out and went into Hornsey nick nearby to report the incident.
