This was the first town hall for Wood Green Borough, bought by them in 1893. It is still owned by the Council today and is about to play a bigger part in Civic life with the imminent departure of Haringey staff from the Civic Centre.
The building also housed the local police courts. The cells are now a kitchen.
Woodside House remained as the town hall for Wood Green until 1958 when the Civic Centre was opened.
You can read about one the the occupants of the building in its former life as a house here.
Below is the same house soon after the 1913 addition of a wing to house a Council chamber.

Back in the 60s I used to go here with my mother. She was a member of the WVRS, and they were allocated a room there where they sorted charity clothes donations. She was also something to do with the Girl Guides, who I also seem to remember used this building?
