Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Wood Green Station (now Alexandra Palace Station)
The date of this photo is a bit of a mystery. Wikipedia says in summary that the station was opened in 1859 as "Wood Green" and was renamed to "Wood Green (Alexandra Park)" in 1864. The station reverted to its original name of Wood Green in 1971, but was again renamed, this time to Alexandra Palace, in 1982.
Any thoughts on the date anybody?

I know Ally Pally had its own Railway Station but was there (is there) a separate access to the Palace from this station?

Do you mean access from the station pictured, what is now Alexandra Palace station? Below is an extract from the 1893 OS town plan, showing the exit route west from the station.
After leaving the old waiting room entrance, nearby vistors could have walked up the pathway to the palace or jumped on a tram.
Here's the scene pretty much unchanged in 1955.
Today the western exit from the station is similar but the waiting room is long gone and, the route now goes pretty much straight ahead instead of kinking south shortly after leaving the station.
The old station building was closed in the 1960s. Below is a photo taken after its closure.
