Hi Hugh it's me again I've just remembered Mr Holden's first name was Ernest ( Ernie ) I don't know if that will help in your investigation. regards Reg

Thanks Reginald. It looks like the factory was on Park Mews which is still there connecting Park Road and Crouch Hall road. You can see it here on Google Maps Birdseye view. Does that look right. At he Park Road end would have been Stone Cottage. It looks like the premises have now been converted to flats.

I can find no trace of the business anywhere.

Hi thanks Hugh I've tried to download Google have had trouble, I keep getting the pay apps every time I try. That's weird there's no record of Holden's, I worked there after school Monday to Friday for a while. Then I went full time when i left school at 15 I didn't stay there long. I left to work at Crowland Press in Seven Sisters  Road in Tottenham. Would a local library have anything on old businesses. Those garages I believe there was six they had large wooden double doors they were bit than normal, if you look from the front the first garage on the left was the one with the fixed access ladder in. I don't what else to suggest about tracing Holden's,let me know if you have any success. Regards Reg

Cheers. You shouldn’t need Google Earth. The link is for Google Maps.
