Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

WWII Stretcher Party, Hornsey c1941

Thanks to Bill O'Brien for this interesting image. Bill told me that his father, Bill (William James) O'Brien (1900-1978) was a Corporal in A Company of the A.R.P. at the headquarters at the Dustyard, Hornsey, where this picture was taken. He is on the far left in second row from the front. The family lived at 20 St Mary's Road.

My father, Arthur Carter, was in the A.R.P in Hornsey. I think he’s third from right at the front  In this photo -  but I may be wrong. He was living in St Mary’s Road then but after the war he moved to St Joseph’s Road.
