Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Denson Rock insurance brokers at 555 Green Lanes shows in the phone book between 1980 and at least 1984. Working from the name on the sunblind of the grocery business, I can't find anything for A & B Grocery stores. Perhaps it went by another name. The Morris Marina parked alongside the grocery has an 'N' reg, which if my memory serves me right was 1975. The Comer van opposite is from the Sixties. So, I think a date of c1980 is about right. I notice that 555 still has bars on the first floor windows. I'd guess that those were put there when it was Secker's pawn broker.

Nowhere to park in Hewitt Road even then!

The name on the blind may not be the name the shop went by?

Probably so, Richard.

My parents bought me a gold bracelet and charms from Seckers jewellers for my 18th birthday.
