An interesting picture which shows the early Victorian houses that stood where the tube station now is. It also seems to predate the building of the Wellington/Costa Coffee.

 The Wellington was possibly there, but as it is presently, set back from the row of terraces.
Yer right. I was thinking this was further forward, showing the terrace of shops that includes Nomad.
Wow, the flooding at turnpike goes back eons. I love these old pictures.
