Certainly recognise the location although I've not been there for a few years!  Pic looks to be a few years back as well.

Shame the Routemasters have gone. You could get on or off where you actually wanted if you were nimble and aware.

The green bus is a Loddeka at what is now the library I think.

I think you'll need to ask the publisher on Flickr - click the photo to go through to the relevant page.

Lost a Wimpy, gained a Nando's.  Probably a net positive but where can you get an egg bender these days?

That's the problem. Most Londoners are neither nimble nor aware. And not only did they 'get off' 'where they wanted to', but also many fell off the back of buses at an alarming rate 'where they didn't' or were dragged along by buses. People's knees certainly don't look good after they've been dragged along by a bus gathering speed.

That's why the new 'Boris Folly buses' are such an enormous waste of rare public transport finances. Buses, paid for by the council tax payer, that Boris used as an re-election gimmick in the outer Boroughs, like Sutton & Bexley or Bromley. Places that are never in a million years actually going to see buses like that in service. At the same time, by withdrawning the articulated buses , he scrapped 'barrier-free' transport to many places that now have no means for parents with kids in pushchairs or people in wheelchairs to travel in larger numbers. He certainly should be ashamed of himself!

OT: @HOl admin.  this comment is mainly in italics because the ning software doesn't cahne back to regular typefaces once it's bee used.

If you jump around you can end up dipping the wrong side of an html end format tag and once you're there it's a bugger to get back out again. If you're comfortable with some html, just click the html icon in the reply toolbar and you'll flick over from wyswyg to html.
