Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Another one from Roy Smith.

Looking East along Seven Sisters Road. In those days you could walk straight down from the tram stops in the middle of the road into the tube.

I know, I know.. I'm a pain when it comes down to dating photos...
But, I think this shot was probably taken in summer 1937 (leaves on trees).
Trolleybus route 623, which BTW was the very first trolleybus route in North East London, commenced operation between Manor House & Woodford on Sunday 18 October 1936.. A trolleybus can be seen waiting at the stop.
Also the wiring for the other routes towards Finsbury Park hadn't yet been hung/strung? .. they started operation two years later on Sunday 16 October 1938. So I think Summer 1937 is probably a good bet.
