Does anyone recall the very bad accident that happened close by here in about 1961-2? A lorry ran away down Muswell Hill and careered across this junction and into a bus queue in Park Road. I attended and seem to recall at least two fatalities.

I seem to remember it was the pet shop that got the worst damage.

I seem to remember, it was the PC on point duty that waskilled in the incident.

It led to the junction layout alterations that we see today.
