Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

These tunnels have been mentioned a few times before on HoL. Previously I've added railway comapny maps and OS maps showing their location. However, I just came across this aerial photo from 1947 (Britain from Above) which shows them very well in photographic form.

Hugh, another great find and they're clear (centre and to right if the tall chimney).

Any idea what the tall chimney top left was?

This, perhaps?

Bottom left of the photo is the water tower - and you can see on left the Victorian block , surrounded by dense tree canopy, which was then demolished for the wards transferring from the Green Trees Hodpitsl and  opened in 1987. The Victorian blocks on that part of the site were originally housing for nurses. When doing research on site Josh, one of the long standing staff members, told me it was his favourite area as exotic gardens joined the accommodation blocks.  Long gone, along with the cow sheds which stood near railway track - but Josh is still there!
