Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The garden of 11 Woodberry Grove.
Dad and mum and me in the pedal car that dad built.
He built it from scrap metal etc.

He even made the garden bench and fence, trellis and the swing on the left!
Clever dad!

My dear old Dad was superb at anything mechanical and electrical. gave me inspiration to do the same thing.

He was a maintenance engineer at a big hotel at Marble Arch, the Mount Royal. Worked there - always on night shift from 1933 till 1980! They kept him on because he was there when they built the place and knew it inside out, literally!
The one thing he hated was gardening and cutting the grass with an old push mower. I have a state of the art motor mower here and always think of him when cutting the lawn.
