Are you sure it's been demolished? I'd have thought it was more likely to have been within the surviving triangle corner block?

Pretty sure. It looks like  Station Road was widened in the 1920s or 1930s The 1890s OS map shows ten buildings (including the corner blocks) on Stroud Green Road between Station Place and Seven Sisters Road. It looks like some of those towards Station Place (probably numbers 11-17) were demolished along with the whole terrace on Station Place and a few on Seven Sisters Road near the corner with Station Place. The current building on the corner of Station Place and Stroud Green Road, along with the building opposite the station look like they are 1920s or 30s buildings.

Here's the post-war map for comparison. You can see that a platform has been added (see newspaper clip below) and the Station Road/Place triangular block trimmed to accommodate more room for buses. You can see the old buildings in this photo.

The only hint I can find of any development is from the Hendon & Finchley Times on 9 June 1939.

Here's a picture of one of the 'sharp ends' of the original Victorian block, the southern end of Station Road at the junction with Seven Sisters Road.
