This photo is so familiar to me as I crossed under Manor House junction, for safety reasons as a child, thousands of times when I lived just 5 minutes away -  southwards down Green Lanes!

Used to catch a bus at the top of Stanhope Gardens, Green Lanes up to the Manor House, then catch the tube into work.

Can't say I ever recall it as being so "sparkly" during my commuting usage or trips up to the West End between 63 and 72.
