Yes, Woodberry Down was a bit of an idyll for the wealthy. For much of the nineteenth century the society notices pages showed that many of those who lived there gave a central London address on addition to their Woodberry Down residence. 

I'm afraid that I haven;t yet been able to track down the location of this little lodge. I'm not sure if it was a genuine old cottage or a Victorian confection.
