After the probable arson attack on Harringay West Station back in the '60s. My copyright as I took this view as a 16 yr old. This background is real!!

With fencing on the bridge a knock-off from a German wartime Stalag?
Have been searching for a photo of this. I remember the day after the fire very well. My Dad recently said there had been a spate of arson attacks on stations in the North London area. I seem to remember a lovely warm waiting room in the old station at booking hall level. Shame they replaced it with what was effectively a portakabin.
I lived in Quernmore (sic) Road from 1964 to 1976. I remember the fire well. The station was open again next day - we had to walk through the charred remains under the supervision of the man who more-or-less seemed to run the station single-handed, and who looked especially miserable that day. It stayed as a wreck form some time before the current 'temporary' 50-year-old building was erected. I took this photo on that day.
