No, it’s not. That’s the National Hall. Both the fire station and the library were just to the north of the police station on Tottenham Lane. Click the tags under the picture to see exterior images.

What look to be the former firemen's residences are still at the top of Glebe Road, at the back of the old station.

It's interesting that this now neglected part of Hornsey, near where I live in Hillfield Avenue, used to be the very centre of municipal life back in the Edwardian day.

Thanks for that titbit, Straw Cat. I'll see what I can find out about those.

Tottenham Lane was a centre of borough council services in the Edwardian period. But, I suppose the real centre of the council, the forerunner of the town hall, was in Highgate.

I’ve now done some outline research on the dwellings and some of the occupants.
