Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Standard didn't quite get it right. All but the tower of St Mary's Church was rebuilt in 1832. This church was in turn demolished in 1927, with only the tower left standing. A newer church had already been built next door - now also demolished (See a full potted history here.)

Mmm - it was a trial - yet because it was a trial in every sense of the word it may be a one-off or just an occasional - it struck me that it was daft to give pictorial content with a text link.
