There was a paper shop on the corner owned by the Watts family in the 1950's/60's.  On the opposite corner was the church. 

The road doesn't look so steep now but when you are a five year old on a three wheeler bicycle with your sister on roller skates holding onto the back of the bike it seemed pretty steep!!!
