I love the finials on the Passage entrance. They're still in situ. I'd never noticed then before.

Harry yes your photo was from my year when we went to the Isle of Wight. Lots of my class but cannot see myself. My two school friends are not there either so perhaps we had wondered off. Your brother would have been in the year above me as he was born in August and was probably one of the youngest. I was born in November 1949. I do remember two Shaun's one being spelt the same way as your brother (Sean). The one that sticks in my memory was short with curly hair and was always getting into trouble. I will have to try and put my photos on here.
Thanks Christine. It's a nice photo. Are you in it? What year would it have been? Funny how old the teachers seemed to me to be when some of them were quite young.
Whoa.... Geraldine. You rebel!
Re photos:
My submission, blurred and I think the left side has been cropped. Can see Smuts.
Christine's: Miss Cosgrove ! I recognise her after all these years. I think.
Geraldine: I can't see my elder brother in your pic nor Christine's but what priceless memories/mementos.
And a school report...the comments are so typical for teachers of a time...try to be obedient....how precisely? As an ex teacher I'd have been challenged for negative/unhelpful comments, or for not providing a plan. Hmmm
Thanks girls for sharing.
Thanks Harry. As both a former pupil and teacher you will know well how things were compared with how they are now. I never minded about the criticisms. Took them on the chin. Loved your IOW photo. It's so sharp and clear. Like many old black and white photos they knock iPhone pics for six.
Actually, looking again, it's Christine's IOW photo that's clear and yours is blurry, is that right? There are a few groups on Facebook that restore old photos and remove the fuzziness. The problem is the result sometimes changes faces so that they no longer the people we know.
