Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Six-hour Race, Wood Green Cycle Track, 1897

The Wood Green Cycle Track was part of the North London Cycling and Athletics Grounds located south of Bounds Green Road in the area now covered by Northcott Av., Cornwall Av., and Braemar Av.

The track was opened in 1895. It was a short-lived venture with the land going for housing development in the early years of the last century.
