In the late 40's I was there too! I also remember our school organizing road safety visits there, all very exciting!

No, I think it's long gone now.

The roads are still there & kids do cycle on them, but there aren't functioning traffic lights or a shed renting out bikes etc like in the old days. There's also a play area, paddling pool, outdoor gym & Lordship Rec Hub Co-op Centre.

Must say, I’ve seen more than a few (adult) cyclists who could do with a refresher course of training on the basics of traffic lights, crossings and lanes in a set-up like this before being allowed on Harringay’s streets.... When I was at school, local police used to come and give periodic road safety and cycle training sessions, but I imagine that all went years ago, with the demise of both local plods and school playgrounds.
