Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Women and children queue outside the greengrocer's shop owned by J Wood, at 97-99 High Road, Wood Green, London. Also visible are 'B. Hemming's' and 'Hammett's'. A sign in the greengrocer's states that 'cabbage greens' are 3 1/2d per lb.

This is where MacDonalds is located now. When Woods closed in the 60s the premises were demolished and the first self-service supermarket in Wood Green- MacFisheries- was built in its place, then after several occupiers it became McDonalds.
