Thanks to Alison Ritchie for this photo and the following comment:
"Tom Ritchie, was a Social Worker and then was instrumental in fund raising and starting the Harringay Club on Tottenham Lane. Sir Charles Clore was a major sponsor.
"This picture shows me aged about 11 at the opening of the club in 1964. My dad, Tom Ritchie, is the bald head and Prince Philip is to his right.

Tom Ritchie was a stalwart of the boys club movement. The London Federation of Boys Clubs was the key organisation. And Hornsey was very fortunate to have the excellent club in Tottenham Lane. It is so long ago now that I forget much but as a by then senior reporter and sports editor I was closely involve with Tom. I have a picture of me interviewing Prince Philip somewhere! I recall going with Tom to a big event in London - no idea what or where or when but it was very grand. He was a super chap and much admired. I note in the picture that Ted Stormer, the Hornsey Journal photographer is at work. One of the heads this ide could even be mine!
The lady in the middle is my Mum, Mrs Grover , she volunteered in the cafeteria and Made sausage and onion sandwich 🥪
Do you remember this cutting from the Hornsey Journal John, when we were presented with the Duke of Edinburgh bronze award at Harringay Boys Club?
Yes Paul I certainly do remember , we both went on to get our Gold Medals
I am going to guess this is about 1955-6? Soon after (Alderman I recall) Frank Cave became Mayor of Hornsey.
The date was actually 18th March 1962
That late! Memory is a funny thing!
I see Frank Cave was Mayor in 60-=61.
