This was located next to Wood Green Bus Garage, on Jolly Butchers Hill (named after the pub!). The pub was later rebuilt as large Victorian affair, then demolished in the 1960s for the present office block. There is a small pub replacement on the ground floor of that office building--this was called the Jolly Butchers originally, but is now called Monaghan's or someting similar!

I lived in the Three Jolly butchers pub 1959/60 up to it's close, my parents Maurice & pat Vowell were the licensee's at the time. I remember I used to sit on the parapet wall at the top of the pub and watch the trolley buses leave the garage next door, also I went to the School that was next to the Barretts sweet factory none of which is there now as far as I can see from Google maps as always nothing stays the same. I wonder if anyone that was around then is still there or have they like me moved on or passed on since then. I've lived in Australia since 1973 so have lost touch on a lot of things. Doug Vowell.
