The picture shows the Hornsey Parish Houses (similar to almshouses and owned/run by St Mary's Church) which were on Hornsey High Street. This site was then used for the Boys' School; now it's part of the Greig City Academy.

Thank you. So I suppose that the houses in the background are either those on the high street or on the roads that once stood just to its south.

Building in the centre, behind the almhouse looks like the current Three Compasses pub.
