Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Wood High Road at Gladstone Gardens c1925

Looking south towards Noel Park & Wood Green railway station. On the right is Glasdstone Gardens which used to surround a large old house called The Elms. Both were demolished in 1930 and replace by Broadway Parade and the Gaumont cinema.

Look at those two cyclists in the middle of the road holding up the traffic! The cheek!

More or less where this picture was taken was where me and my mum used to wait for the bus in the 70's to take us to my grandparents. I also remember there being a Christmas tree here every year and Salvation army band playing on Sundays. What memories !!!!
