Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Amazing photographic collection and history on this great site.

Here is an addition to the Manor House / Woodberry Down album, taken in 1987..ish.

Worked here in the early 80s, as well as a very short stint in the Hobson's Choice pub on Philip Lane. Great pubs in their day.

I/we raised many a pint in there around that time and before. We never did go into the club though. That part used to be an off license prior to that if I remember rightly.

Many happy Saturday nights spent at “The Catacombs”, the Indie club night that ran at the Manor Club during the 80s. Only, I’m pretty sure we called it “alternative” rather than “Indie” in those days.

New Order, Sisters of Mercy, The Smiths, The Cult...ah those were the days.

Now, where can I find an indie disco for the over 50s?
