Comment by Stephen Holliday on June 29, 2016 at 10:53: I remember riding a tricycle there and on one occasion was waiting at a red light to turn left at a crossroads.

When the lights changed I duly turned left only to be stopped by an arrogant girl who was going to "Tell on me" for going past a red light. She was not to be told that the light would be red from where she was standing so I decided to ride off at high speed. So far the Model Traffic Police have not caught up with me!

We still have three or four of these Model traffic areas, still in use in my city.

While I was young I spent most of my waking hours, riding and playing in that Park, we had such great fun all day long, pulse we had good exercise and plenty of " Fresh Air " What a pity they haven't got outdoor areas like that today, instead of Computer Games. What sort of physical exercise is there in that ??????
