Comment by Hugh on May 22, 2020 at 10:36: Christina, yes, working from the right hand-side of the picture, the second of the two buildings on the east side of Tottenham Lane would correspond with The Laurels.

I don't have all the occupancy records for the house pictured above.The land was owned by the Listers from the late eighteenth century till the late nineteenth. For about ten years from 1821 the house pictured was leased to a James Lightup (Gardner's map of 1822 for location - Hornsey land tax records for dates). Lightup may have been the James Lightup who as a vellum binder, later of Aldgate and also coffee house keeper (Lightup's Coffee House) in Westminster). But I'm not certain that this James Lightup was the one who lived in Hornsey. Nor am I clear who lived in the house at the point this engraving was done.
