mmmmm Hugh....bit of a puzzle to me ! So this would be looking down towards The Salisbury/St Anns Road end. We lived Salisbury end and on left side of this pic. So that pointed roof structure visible at end of right hand roof lines, could that be the old piano factory on Colina Mews do you think ? I can't place that large house in left centre of pic though. Mind you I am talking sort of 50 years later....
John, if you click on 'View Full Size' just under the picture and then zoom in to the taller building on the left, you can just make out the name 'Watts'. That was advertising for the shop (in the taller building) which was at 453 West Green Road, The single storey building beyond was at 472 West Green Road. It was on the corner of Stanmore Road and from what I can work out it was Moxom's estate agent at the time this picture was taken.
If you can see the gates n the old picture, just under the 'O' of 'Online' in the watermark, that was the entrance to a yard between numbers 170 and 172 (now the site of a house, mumber 170A).
The Street View embed below shows the roughly equivalent view today.
