So this was on the north/east side of the road (on the right going out of Crouch End)? It looks like it was the end of the terrace. Was the rest of the terrace destroyed by bombing in the War?

No damage next to shop it was a school,now houses  ,above the shop was scouts head qrs and the back of shop was a large hall used for jumble sales etc going to put another pic up of my Dad in the care takers garden you can work it out by the pub behind

There was a school next to 59. Was there also a school next to this shop, number 50? I didn't think so.

Sorry dad had 59 after this shop, I think. So, to be honest, no one to ask now. There’s one shop left of the row because the old man who was there refused to sell up.

Just added a few more images from my to-add pile. There's

  1. Looking up Wolseley Road from Park Road towards Crouch End School, showing the edge of the caretaker's garden in your image
  2. Crouch End School, from Wolsley Road,
  3. Park Road, c1935 (the lamp post on the right was outside number 50)
  4. Nos 48-52 Park Road in 1974, I assume afer your parents had sold up.
