I think this terrace survives between Burghley Road and Vernon Road although much altered and disfigured. There is a photo of the lost terrace on the corner of HPR and Turnpike Lane ... with two postmen standing next to their pillar box. The opposite corner is recorded well in other photos in the HoL collection: what had become of the block between HPR and Clarendon Road by the mid 1950s is shown in the attachment  with Goulding Ct. (demolished 2002) on the corner of Clarendon Road in the far left of the view....

....and here's the junction of Clarendon Road with Turnpike Lane - the course of the lost road now being evident from the car park between the Caribbean Centre and Westpoint. Both images are from a film in the Film London Collection. There is a glimpse across the hoardings of the semi detached houses that stood next to the surviving no.10 Hornsey Park Road

Thanks, and for completeness, here is Goulding Court (built by Hornsey BC 1935) glimpses of which are in the two 1950s screenshots. It would be good to get more pictures of this corner, cut off from but so close to the village, particularly the cottages that nestled beneath the railway embankment on the north side of Turnpike Lane or the houses and trade premises of Clarendon Road. I've seen pictures of the gas works but we could do with knowing more. The Gas Company seems to have been very much a model employer at the centre of its own community. What does everyone know about the stainless steel artwork on the West Indian Cultural Centre. It's deserving of much greater recognition.
