It was three shop units, The two you can see in the picture are now Winkworths. Thd third is now Ladbrokes.

My bit! Thought it might be because of the windows. Wow. Never knew it was a pub! When was it closed down, d'you know?
The pub was doing alright but "Wetherspoons" seemed to want to get rid of a few pubs, like "The Goat" and "The Mortimer Arms," in the area at the time. They let the place deteriorate over a few years and moved on.
Should we all celebrate the opening of the 10th (Hugh can correct me on this) on Green Lanes then?
This was a great pub and didn't get the usual dross of Whetherspoon seasoned drinkers, or not that many . Had many a good night in there, then over to pick up a curry from opposite (now the Garden Ladder).
