Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Quite an old photo showing parts of the school that are now demolished, though the main building still stands.

The gated lane to the left is roughly where Rokesley Avenue is today. When it was first laid out as a road, around the time of this photo, it was part of a single road, along with what became Hillfield Avenue. The road was called Holy Innocents Road. It might be that at the time of this photo it's being used as a builder's access road.

The gate post on the left was probably the entrance to Harringay Farm.

This is roughly where Lewis Collins as Bodie in The Professionals ran across the zebra crossing in Tottenham Lane, from Rokesley Avenue and went into Ferme Park Road to ask some builders if they had seen 2 boys. Lots of episodes of The Professionals were filmed in Crouch End, as Lewis Collins - who lived there - couldn't get to the studio on time, so the studio came to Crouch End.
