Thanks to Alan for adding this photo some time ago. A fire in the 1960s destroyed the old station building. It was finally demolished in 1969 and replaced with the current shack.

Does that mean harringay green lanes used to be harringay east?
I worked out the trail of names for what is now Harringay Green Lanes and added them to the Wikipedia article back in 2007. For ease of reference:
The name changes for what is now Harringay station were slightly less convoluted.
Hope that helps.
The decaying bridge section level with the current shack, with the 'don't gather here' red hatching, is being reinforced. Chatting with one of the engineers about how the work was being done above electrified wires, he dropped into the conversation that during the Christmas & Boxing Day closure there are plans to crane in a replacement for said shack, though he did add the rider "But don't hold me to that".
Hugh, the fire at Harringay West happened on the 17th April 1968.
Thanks Gerry.
