There was no date on this photo but it would have been in the late 1950's or very early 1960's. The locomotive featured was scrapped in 1962. The station with its cantilevered concrete roof looks very 1930's in the Bauhaus inspired German State Railways style then popular (eg Hornsey Town Hall). The platform light you can see just before the loco's chimney is standard British Railways modernisation equipment from the 1950's. How odd that the late 19th century houses survive and the modernist station disappeared.

Thanks JP. So not long after the station got its third name, Harringay Stadium. But a few decades before its fourth and fifth names!
