This is the bottom of Duckett road with Strands Motorcycle shop on corner

Then opposite is Roseberry Gardens. Looks like there still remained some of the "hanging gardens of Roseberry" in the Sixties.

Look .. a 'VERY RARE' colour shot of of the controlled area signs... And on all corners of the junction... !! This proves what I always remembered.. that the controlled area lasted much longer than the planned one-year of operation..1963/64 - Proving that is was accepted by the locals, as well as being successful...
Can't make out the red lines though

I've contacted Chris Marshall, the owner of this site, who after a bit of prompting by methe article. I'm sure he'll be interested in this 'exceptional photograph' BTW, It looks like it was taken on a Sunday and sunny one in summer at that..
