How amazed these people would be that despite our indoor bathrooms and our telephones, how hemmed in we are now by our cars and our street furniture. The sense of space in this picture reminds us how claustrophobic the streets are now. And look, we humans did come first then...

Oh yes !  Home sweet home.........  though not quite as I knew it.  I was born at No 40a midway between St Anns and Colina Road in 1949.  Stayed until 1970.  Memories are made of this.........
