Superb picture Hugh. Looking in my 1948 Post Office Directory Brown Bros, Ironmongers are listed as 66 Green Lanes, at the junction with Stanhope Gardens. A peek at Google Street maps I think confirms this.

My dad often used Brown Bros as they were the best place for tools, nuts and bolts!
