Harringay Clowns

The 11 years of circuses at Harringay Arena saw appearances by some of Europe's most famous clown troupes. HoL member Stephen Hartley remembers seeing the Stienos at Harringay when he was about five years old.

As well as seeing appearances by the famed Coco the Clown, Harringay hosted one of the few female clowns on the circuit and a range of other troupes including the Rivels and the Francescos.
