Ha! Brings back sweet memories. I would get off the bus just past the bridge on my way home from work in the 1960s!

The photo in your link Hugh shows a trolley bus. I don’t remember seeing trolley buses in the 1960s, that’s not to say they weren’t there-just that I don’t remember seeing them! I was born in ‘55 and my memory is of my Dad ‘telling’ me about the trolley buses.

One of our early members was Harringay born and bred Stephen Hartley. He’s something of a bus buff with an encyclopaedic knowledge of London buses. He’s added plenty about Harringay’s buses over the years, including this post about local trolley buses.
